Equipment rentals are for department faculty, staff, graduate students, and majors. Available equipment includes a digital camera, a video camera, a projector, a recorder, a laptop, a tablet, and multiple GPS units (Garmin, Trimble).
The equipment is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations can be made up to three weeks in advance from the desired check-out date.
The maximum check-out period is three days. Any check-out for a longer period of time must have prior, written approval from the Department Chair.
For additional information and to reserve equipment, complete the Equipment Rental Webform.
ESRI products are available for student/faculty/staff personal use for free. There are two options for installing ArcGIS:
- Take your computer to the Computer Support Center (Anne Belk Hall, 828-262-8324) and they will install it.
- Visit their website for instructions on how to download and install it yourself.
If you already have the software and still need a license, complete the ESRI License Webform.
- For other license issues, contact the GIS Lab Supervisor - Lauren Andersen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
