ESRI products are freely available to current faculty, staff, and students of Appalachian State University. Note: ArcGIS is only compatible with Windows (NOT Mac).
If you are using a university-owned computer, ArcGIS should be installed from the Software Center.
If you are using a personal computer, install the software: ArcGIS Desktop 10.8 (link to installer), ArcGIS Pro 2.7 (link to installer), or ESRI City Engine 2021 (link to installer). Once you have installed the software, complete the form below to request a license (Desktop, CityEngine) or account (Pro) to authenticate it.

For users wishing to have ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, or City Engine installed on their personal computers for them, please take your computer to the Technology Support Center for both installation and licensing.
All single-use license files expire annually on June 30th. All licenses may be renewed as long as you are affiliated with the university.
If "Yes" is selected, license files will be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. For all resnet requests, please fill out the form for the computer owner.
