Undergraduate Program Overview

All majors in the Department of Geography and Planning require a minimum of 120 semester hours for the degree.  A minor is required for the Bachelor of Arts degree. In addition to the core curriculum, major and minor requirements, electives must be taken to meet the total required minimum hours. Two semester hours of free electives outside of the major discipline are required.

Honors

The Department of Geography and Planning offers Honors courses on all undergraduate levels, which are open to students who have distinguished themselves. Honors courses carry full credit toward the majors in geography and planning, or for non-majors full elective credit. Read more about the Honors Program.
