Scholarship Opportunities
The 2025-26 Appalachian Scholarship Application Portal (ASAP) will open in December 2024.
The Department of Geography & Planning offers a number of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in geography and/or planning. Each of these scholarships was created to honor the contributions of former faculty members and alumni by providing support for the academic efforts of geography and planning students at Appalachian State University.
Requirements
The requirements for the scholarships vary, but typically include:
- Full-Time Enrollment in Geography or Planning Degree
- Junior or Senior Status
- 3.0+ GPA
Many scholarships also consider the financial need of the student.
