In May 2021, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Master of Arts in Geography with a GIS certificate. My research interests remain broad, but primarily focus on community resilience and adaptation to climate extremes. My thesis focused on delineating the historical spatiotemporal trends of drought and extreme moisture to understand potential future trends using an advanced geovisualization technique called self-organizing maps. Currently, I hope to continue research on the impacts of drought to improve water management strategies, particularly across the Appalachian region.
